About the Book
What do you do when, in your late-thirties, you find yourself unexpectedly without a partner? This was not part of the plan. All your peers are settling down and having children. You no longer have a network of singles to go socialising with. Most of your friends don't even live near you anymore. In this increasingly fragmented and alienating world more people find the only way to meet a potential soulmate is through the internet, but is there still something slightly unnatural and false about finding love online?
In this new novella James Merrick explores the trials and troubles of a recently single man. Alone and rootless he signs up to an internet dating site to find it ultimately to be little more than a disappointing series of meaningless email encounters.

About the Creator
James Merrick is an experimental writer who blurs the boundaries between writing and art. He has written a number of books including two volumes of short experimental texts (A Story & Dead End Novel), a two volume study on the narrative of dream (Somnia), and a book of short essays on art, culture and technology (With One Eye on the Road).
