About the Book
I'm drawn to places and scenes that might go otherwise unnoticed if not photographed. I find these scenes often haunting, but in a beautiful way. My job as a photographer is to recognize these scenes, and unlock their quite beauty with the use of strong compositions, and bold use of line and color. Often times, these images also feature some sense of pattern or organization that immediately captured my eye, but for most, was just unnoticed.
The images in this on-going series are about the intimacy of the seemingly insignificant, how what in front of us often times is the only thing we see clearly. The series is called "impersonal" space because people are absent. These scenes do not relate to individual persons, they represent the space we all share, but rarely notice.
