About the Book
This book is about balancing stones on the beaches of Çirali, a village on the Lycian coast in Turkey. Each year I visit this beautiful place and build sculptures from the rocks that have been washed up on the shore. Balancing Çirali stones has become my personal form of expression and a favorite way to unwind. Often passers-by ask if the stones have been glued together. When locals first see my installations they refer to them as 'Cappadocia', the region in Central Anatolia, best known for its chimney-like rock formations. This 118 pages book features a selection of some 100 images of my creations and 4 text pages. It is printed on 148 g/m2 paper with a semi-gloss finish.
