About the Book
COME PLAY is a photographic series that was completed in 2012. the photographs were taken at a location that was most known as thistle mill. the mill stood in the patapsco valley in ellicot city, maryland and was used for numerous operations in the 100+ years that it stood. in 2003, the mill was shut down due to a fire. for the next ten years, the mill was used as a playground for rebellious teenagers with spray paint cans and urban explorers with cameras.
in 2013, the remaining structures of the mill in these photographs were demolished.
