About the Book
This book is a collection of pictures from a one-of-a-kind trip that took place in July of 2006.
The trip lasted 10 days and the participants were a group of World War II Reenactors from different countries coming together to portray one battalion of the U.S. Army, the 82nd Reconnaissance Battalion of the 2nd Armored Division. The attendees wore authentic or reproduced uniforms and equipment accurate to that Battalion at that time in history and rode in restored WWII vehicles and camped in fields each night.
The trip was in dedication to not only the men of that unit, but to all the soldiers who put their lives on the line to liberate the country of a fellow man. It would be the largest assembly of military vehicles paired with authentic looking soldiers since the real thing was there back in 1944.
