About the Book
This project is a small journey of personal discovery but as a documentary photographer who wants to know, look, enquire, investigate and understand, I also, of course, want to share what I have discovered over the past two years about daily life on a small Cotswolds farm.
The hero of the story is farmer Jonathan Crump. Watching him work, it is immediately obvious that he is passionate about his farm and the animals he keeps and the food he produces.
Jonathan has made a choice as to his method of small scale farming and food production. To me, he demonstrates how it is possible to look after your animals with care and humanity at the same time as being pragmatic and productive.
His farm produces some of the area’s best cheese and meat and to me, that encapsulates Field, Farm, Food.
