About the Creator
Meg Gentry
Texas, United States
Meg Gentry and her family moved to a small town (population 501) 34 miles north of Dallas, Texas, in the 1970’s. Living in the country was when they noticed the problem of abandoned animals. Dogs and cats were dropped of at a nearby road leading to their home. One of the animals “Brownie”, who was named by their grandson, made his way to their home. He inspired her to write this book to children to never give up hope for hapiness. It is true that one persons trash is another person’s treasure. It is just a question of “who rescued who”. We took care of his needs and he gave what he could......his devoted companionship.
