About the Creator
Shirley is new to illustration. She has always considered herself more of a technician than artist and it is because of the encouragement of some great teachers, that she attempted to attach visuals to this poetry. She has traveled a long and interesting path from New Jersey in the 1950's to California in the new century. Bouncing around the Graphic Communications/Multimedia and Arts departments of City College of San Francisco has produced a broadband education. The invaluable time spent working at a press shop, LogosGraphics, kept her surrounded with high quality design and innovative practices. She includes paper engineering, fabric embellishment, meditation and a deep appreciation for ethnic food in her resume.
